Voodoo celebrates 20 years

Voodoo Doughnut, a popular doughnut shop, is celebrating its 20th anniversary at its flagship location in Portland, Oregon.

The public is invited to join the birthday bash at 22 SW 3rd Avenue and enjoy the featured Birthday Cake doughnut for only 20 cents.

The Birthday Cake doughnut is filled with creamy strawberry filling, dipped in vanilla frosting, and topped with sprinkles.

Voodoo Doughnut's famous Mini Bacon Maple Bars will be on sale for $2 throughout the day.

Founders Tres Shannon and Kenneth "Cat Daddy" Pogson will be present at the celebration, along with balloons, confetti, and other festivities.

Voodoo Doughnut's CEO, Chris Schultz, expressed pride in being part of downtown Portland's history and hopes to continue operating for another 20 years.

The event will take place from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30.

Voodoo Doughnut, established in 2003, is known for its unique flavors such as the Bacon Maple Bar, Memphis Mafia, and The Cannolo.

The shop offers over 50 doughnut flavors, including 25 vegan options.

In addition to Oregon, Voodoo Doughnut has stores in Colorado, Texas, California, Washington, Florida, and will soon open a new location in Tempe, Arizona.
